Vampire Victornian Vest

He tejido un chaleco, el cual tenia en mente desde hace un año, pero de verdad es que me ha tomado tiempo decidirme de una vez, calcular los puntos, la puntada y todo eso...

Me he basado en la medida de una playera de pull & bear para sacar la altura de las sizas, del cuello redondo y del talle, no fué tan difícil de ésta manera, de hecho me ha gustado más, lo he tejido con estambre a granel, me he llevado un aproximado de 600 ó 700 gramos,

Ya antes había tejido con él, pero no me habia gustado para nada el resultado, el talle era malo, las pretinas de mangas y cuellos eran muy apretados al grado de no verse estético y hasta ser molesto.

Hice varias pruebas con agujas distintas para conseguir la tensión que buscaba en las puntadas. El diseño que tenía en mente era éste:

Estambres San Marcos Bicomponente
Estambres San Marcos Angora

ó algun estambre que les dé 16 puntos en 10 cms
puede ser Worsted/Aran e incluso Bulky

Elástico 2/2: d2, r2

Trenza Herradura: T.He Colocar 3 pts. en agj aux. pasar para atrás, tejer los siguientes pts. al der. y después los pts de la agj aux al der. Colocar 3 pts. en agj aux. dejar al frente, tejer los siguientes pts. al der. y después los pts de la agj aux al der.
 Trenza de 6 puntos hacia la izquierda: T6d Colocar 3 pts. en agj aux. dejar al frente, tejer los siguientes pts. al der. y después los pts de la agj aux al der.
 Trenza de 6 puntos hacia la derecha: T6f Colocar 3 pts. en agj aux. pasar para atrás, tejer los siguientes pts. al der. y después los pts de la agj aux al der.

Al llegar a 43 cms desde el montado empezar las  

Reducciones para la siza de la sig. manera

cerrar 4 puntos al principio de cada vuelta,
después 3
y por último 2 puntos teniendo 68 puntos en total

Trabajando después los mismos puntos hasta tener 55 cms desde el montado

Reducciones para el cuello

Cerrar los 10 puntos centrales, después 4, 2, 2, 1 al principio de cada vuelta. trabajando hombros por separado, trabajar rondas cortas a su gusto para los hombros (deberán quedar 20 puntos en cada uno)

Espalda
Trabajar igual que el delantero pero trabajar de ésta manera

Es decir que serán 2 paneles de p. jersei en vez de las 2 trenzas centrales, trabajar la siza a la misma altura y simplemente el cuello empezar la reducción un poco más arriba

Unir con la técnica del remallado (Grafting)

Con la agj circular de 5mm levantar los pts pretinas de las "mangas" y trabajar apenas 1 cm en elástico 2/2 y cerrar flojamente

Y con agj circular de 6mm para el cuello abierto levantando puntos por la orilla del cuello tomando unos pocos extras por donde se montaron los primeros para tapar el cuello, trabajar abierto cómo si fuesen agujas rectas en elástico 2/2 por 16 cms.

Rib 2/2: k2, p2

Horseshoe cable: HSC Place the first 3 stitches on a cable needle and leave them at the front, knit the next 3 stitches from the left hand needle, followed by the 3 stitches on the cable needle in the correct order as before, then, Place the next 3 stitches on a cable needle and leave them at the back, knit the next 3 stitches from the left hand needle, followed by the 3 stitches on the cable needle in the correct order as before.
 Cable of 6 sts FRONT: C6f Place the first 3 stitches on a cable needle and leave them at the front, knit the next 3 stitches from the left hand needle, followed by the 3 stitches on the cable needle in the correct order as before
 Cable of 6 sts BACK: C6b Place the first 3 stitches on a cable needle and leave them at theback , knit the next 3 stitches from the left hand needle, followed by the 3 stitches on the cable needle in the correct order as before

Est = Edge stitch
Front
CO 86 sts in straight 4mm needles
Knit 2 inches of Rib 2/2 leaving 1 Edge stitch each side
Switch to larger straight needles and work as follows


Est, k7, p2, k10, p2, C6f, p2, k5, p2, HSC, p2, k5, p2, C6b, p2, k10. p2. k7, Est

At 17 inches from the CO we'll start working the "armholes" as follows

BO 4 sts at the beggining of the first rows (RS & WS)
then BO 3
and last 2 sts, then you'll have 68 sts.

Work your stitches until piece measures 21.5 - 22 inches from the CO, and now we beggin the neck decreases

BO the 10 middle stitches in a RS row, 
then you'll work each sholder by binding off from the center 
the first 4, 2, 2, 1 sts

You can work short rows for shape the shoulders of vest (you must have 20 sts at each) BO at 26 - 27 inches legt

Back
Work the same as front but after rib as follows

As you notiched we change all cables for a st st panels and the HSC for 2 panels of st st

Work armholes as front and start the neck at 24.5 - 25 inches from CO

Seam the pieces using Grafting method


With circular 5mm needle pick up the sts for the borders of "armholes" just half inch in 2/2 Ribbing

and with 6mm circular for the neck slipping sts over where you want the open of split collar to hide the inside, work without joining in 2/2 Ribbing for 6.5 inches.
